Trainings & Workshops

Training/workshop hybrid sessions with Ampersand Workspace meet the varied needs of folks seeking to transform anti-racist and gender-inclusive behavior and action. A training/workshop hybrid, combining the best of training and workshop styles, is the best way to empower participants to not only learn new information but leave ready to implement this knowledge and execute it within their work and the workplace environment. I impart skills and competencies, while including discussion and building on participants’ existing expertise. My interactive and collaborative approach results in increased capacity, taking participants from passive knowledge to putting learning into action. My delivery style combines the best training and workshop models, supporting a more comprehensive uptake of information that can be adapted for virtual or in-person delivery.

Learn, Unlearn, and GROW as a team

Race and gender factor into all elements of our lives, creating endless possibilities for trainings and workshops that can help a variety of teams, industries, and workplace environments. Using race, gender, and intersectionality lens, I have led workshop/training sessions on a variety of topics like climate change, anti-racist and gendered language, burnout, white supremacy, leadership and management styles, facilitation skills, and so much more. Regardless of the topic, these sessions are a way to bring folks together, and explore difference and understanding, while creating space for action and change.

These training & workshop models are designed for virtual and in-person delivery, including information, reflection, action planning, small group work, and large group discussion. Given their highly customizable nature, these sessions can help everyone have the same foundation for diversity, equity, and inclusion, build an understanding of targeted issues across teams or identities, or serve as leadership development for management and executive teams. Regardless of the angle, my training/workshops add to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, giving participants the space to engage, explore, and grow in race and gender-based areas.
